Lil Wayne Disses Jay Z on The Carter IV album on "Im Good" ft. Jadakiss & Drake

Is this good for rap/hip-hop? What is your perception of this?
On the record H.A.M. off the Watch The Throne album, Jay Z raps:

"Niggaz fantasize about the shit that I do daily,
Like these rappers rap about all the shit that I do really,
Im like really, half a billi, nigga really you got baby money,
Keep it real with niggaz, niggaz aint got my lady money."

Do you think that was a shot thrown? Does this stem back to 2009 comments by Birdman?

It's been three years since Young Jeezy released his smash third album The Recession, that doesn't mean the Snowman's been slacking off with music. He's been holding steady on the mixtape scene, like Trap or Die 2 and this past May's The Real is Back. With an album on the horizon, Jeezy is re-teaming with DJ Drama for a sequel to his hit mixtape from earlier this year.

Amy Winehouse: Toxicology Results Show NO Illegal Drug Use

(AP) LONDON — Amy Winehouse had no illegal drugs in her system when she died, and it is still unclear what killed the singer, her family said Tuesday.
The family said in a statement that toxicology tests showed “alcohol was present” in the singer’s body but it hasn’t yet been determined if it contributed to her death.

A statement released by spokesman Chris Goodman on the family’s behalf said “toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death.” It said the family awaited the outcome of an inquest that is due to begin in October.

Winehouse’s father, Mitch, has said his daughter had beaten her drug dependency three years before her death, but he admitted she was still struggling to control her drinking after several weeks of abstinence.

Mitch Winehouse told mourners at the singer’s July 26 funeral that she had said to him, “’Dad I’ve had enough of drinking, I can’t stand the look on your and the family’s faces anymore.’”

The Winehouse family announced plans to establish a charitable foundation in the singer’s name to help people struggling with addiction — although Mitch Winehouse has said the plans are on hold because someone else had registered the name Amy Winehouse Foundation.

In her short lifetime, Winehouse frequently made headlines because of drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders, destructive relationships and abortive performances.

Her health often appeared fragile. In June 2008 and again in April 2010, she was taken to hospital and treated for injuries after fainting and falling at home.

50 Cent speaks on New Album

50 Cent has made his beef with Interscope Records public over the past few months, explaining that he and the company weren’t seeing eye-to-eye on his delayed fifth album. Speaking with MTV UK, Fif confirmed that the LP, formerly titled Black Magic, would be his last for Interscope and that he’s recorded “more than enough material for it.”

"It’s actually my final requirement. My fifth album and the final requirement for Interscope. I had some difficulties with the actual system,” he said. “There are people there that are afraid to lose their job; they’ve seen other people get fired. I think they’re afraid to make some decisions that need to be made right away, they just sit and look. […] We’ve had some conversations communicated to develop plans for different things and it’s not actually executed in the time plan that we’ve created. And I get frustrated and I start doing things, like I put the record out."

Lenny Kravitz Tackles Racial 'Hatred and Anger' on 'Black and White America'

As its title suggests, Lenny Kravitz's 'Black and White America' deals with some serious subject matter. As a genre-blending musician and the child of a mixed-race couple, he's experienced his fair share of prejudice throughout his life, but he was he inspired to tackle the topic head-on after watching a documentary about racist Obama opponents. Spinner recently caught up with Kravitz to discuss the album (due out Aug. 29), his thoughts on the racial tensions in the U.S. and his relationship with his daughter, Zoe.

How are you feeling about 'Black and White America'?

I'm really satisfied with this album. It was really fun making it. It's been an amazing couple of years. I worked on it for two years, off and on. I would go on tour, come back, do other things, come back. I had other projects, but it was the better part of two years that I was in the Bahamas recording it.
